BTEX

As we continue to adapt to the ever-changing world around us, we are excited to be hosting our flagship Business Technology Expo (BTEX) on October 27 and 28 in a new, engaging and innovative virtual format. Featuring keynote speaker Colonel Chris Hadfield, the first Canadian Commander of the International Space Station, this galaxy-themed event offers key insights by CDW experts and our 60+ leading technology partners to help your organization achieve its out-of-this-world potential.

When doors open, you’ll notice that four of our core pillars (security, cloud, collaboration and modern data centre) have been transformed into virtual booths for your exploration. Here’s what each will have to offer:

Security

Canadian organizations are no strangers to cyberattacks, and COVID-19 has introduced a new wave of vulnerabilities due to the sudden work from home orders on networks. Organizations have been pushed to rapidly digitize while protecting their financial position and ensuring business continuity – joint realities which can have severe implications on network security.

This booth will feature resources and insights on the key to achieving a well-managed approach to security, how to prioritize cybersecurity certifications and compliance, tips to prevent and mitigate third-party partner cyber risks, the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) and more.

Cloud

Our 2020 cybersecurity study, Cyber Resilience: An Evolving Perspective, revealed that 64 percent of IT professionals say that optimizing the existing uses of cloud technologies is their top initiative, while also moving more workloads to the cloud. But as cloud use continues to grow and expand, so do the challenges that come along with it.

This booth will feature resources and insights on how to conduct best practice and cloud readiness assessments, details and tips for seamless migration to the cloud, breakdowns of cloud landing zones, how to implement and manage cloud services like Azure, Cloud DRaaS with ASR and AWS, Commvault and more.

Collaboration

Working from home was already a growing trend prior to the pandemic. However, the last few months has meaningfully shifted the idea of work from office to outcome centric. As organizations continue to recognize and accept the new reality of remote work, it’s critical to provide the collaboration solutions for employees to complete their work from the comfort of wherever they choose to be.

This booth will feature resources and insights on adopting new tools and collaboration technology, digital workspace trends, how to alleviate roadblocks and challenges, how to adapt to shifting workplace demands and more.

Modern Data Centre

With employees being driven to their organization’s remote infrastructure to continue their day-to-day tasks for months on end, having the proper infrastructure in place can truly make or break an organization’s ability to survive. As the importance of infrastructure rises, so too does the role of IT in implementing technology that meets business need and that today’s tech-savvy users expect.

This booth will feature resources and insights on managed network switching, F5 Quickstart, Nutanix cluster deployment, how to conduct wireless site surveys and more.

In addition to the four pillar booths, attendees will also have access to the daily BTEX agenda. Here, you’ll find a timetable for the day’s industry breakout sessions, tech briefs and keynote addresses in order to plan your day accordingly (timetables are also available in advance on the event website). You’ll also be automatically entered in a draw for technology prizes by visiting our sponsors in the exhibit hall, attending tech briefs on the Main Stage, and speaking with experts in the CDW Solutions room! Winners will be awarded in a post-even email to attendees.

Whether you are managing continued remote work, returning to work, data security or employee productivity challenges, you’ve come to the right place for IT solutions to help you navigate this new frontier. Visit cdw.ca/BTEX to register today.
